SYRIZA government resigns, as PM Tsipras informs President Pavlopoulos
Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras met with the President of the Hellenic Republic, Prokopis Pavlopoulos at the Presidential Palace in Athens, where he informed the President about his decision to hold snap elections on 7 July and the dissolution of the House.
The next step involves for a Presidential Decree to be issued that dissolves the Greek parliament, officially kicking off the pre-election campaign.
