Professional fisherman dies off western Greece after casting his net
An odd but tragic accident was reported over the weekend with a 67-year-old fisherman dying under still undetermined circumstances moments after casting his nets along a rocky shoreline off the coast of the northwest Peloponnese.
According to local reports from the seaside town of Katakolo, the professional fisherman slipped and fell into the water in an attempt to cast his net.
Eyewitnesses ran to his assistance, transporting him to a nearby hospital, where he subsequently passed away.
