Snow and cold weather forecast on Monday
Cold and continued snowstorms and blizzards are forecast in Greece on Monday, especially along the eastern mainland, with the phenomena beginning to abate from the afternoon.
Storms, at times severe, are also forecast at sea and on the islands of the Aegean. Winds will blow from mainly northerly and northeasterly directions, from 5-9 Beaufort. Temperatures will range from -4C to 1C in northern Greece, 2C to 10C in the west, -2C and 7C in the eastern mainland and Evia, and from 8C to 14C on the islands of the Aegean and Crete. Sleet and snow in Attica, with temperatures between 0C and 6C. Light snow in Thessaloniki, with temperatures from -4C to 1C.
