Work stoppage on Athens electric railway (line 1) from 11:00-14:00 on Thursday
The workers in the Piraeus-Kifissia overground electric railway, on line 1 of Athens’ metro system, will hold a warning work stoppage on Thursday from 11:00 to 14:00.
A STASY (Urban Rail Transport) Workers Union announcement on Tuesday referred to “serious problems that greatly inconvenience the passengers and make the work of staff difficult”.
The union demands the hiring of additional staff, procurements to cover shortages of spare parts that put trains out of commission and reduce the frequency of services and the signing of a new collective labour agreement.
