Baftas 2019: Lanthimos’ “The Favourite” takes home seven awards!

“The Favorite” has dominated at the British Academy of Film Awards (BAFTA) Awards Ceremony, winning seven, including Best British Film.

The Best and Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress awards for their roles went to Olivia Colman and Rachel Weiss for their role in Lanthimos’ movie, as well as Best Original Screenplay, Art Direction, Costumes, Makeup and Hairstyles.

Lanthimos said of the outstanding British film award: “It’s a great honour. This film took 20 years to make & I contributed to the last 10”.
