Rainy weather and strong winds are forecast for Wednesday.
Local rain in western Greece, occasional thunderstorms in southern Greece, and snow on high-altitude regions; snow expected also at lower altitudes (to 300 m above sea level) in areas of Epirus and western Central Greece, Macedonia, Thessaly, Evia and the Peloponnese. All rain and snow phenomena will gradually abate overnight. The Cycladic Islands, Crete, islands of the eastern Aegean and the Dodecanese Islands will be lashed by rain and storms which will gradually abate and be limited to the southeast. Winds will range from 5 to 7 on the Beaufort scale and reach 9 at sea, diminishing gradually in the afternoon. Temperatures will remain low, with ice conditions on the mainland early in the morning and overnight.
