Greek PM fires Deputy Minister of Labour from government
Greek PM Alexis Tsipras has accepted the resignation of Deputy Minister of Labor Rania Antonopoulou after the huge outcry following revelations that she had received rent subsidies worth 23,000 euros.
She admitted that she had received the rent subsidy claiming she had mistakenly thought it was part of her salary as a minister.
She added that she intends to return the money. The announcement released by Maximos Mansion thanked the minister for her 3-year contribution.
