The contingent mechanism will not be activated, Alternate Min Fotiou says
“The contingent mechanism will not be activated nor will additional measures be taken,” Alternate Minister for Social Solidarity on Wednesday said in an interview with SKAI TV.
She attributed the delay in the conclusion of the second review to disagreements between the creditors. She also said that the people trust the government and estimated that there will be no early elections.
Fotiou said that unemployment will be reduced from 27 percent to 22 percent adding that the Labour ministry is striving for the restoration of collective negotiations which guarantee sustainable job positions.
