Chiefs of 3 Greek military branches replaced
The chiefs of the general staff of the Hellenic army, navy and air force were reportedly reshuffled on Monday morning, after a surprise meeting and subsequent decision by a high-ranking Cabinet committee, known as KYSEA in its Greek-language acronym.
The committee is usually chaired by the prime minister, although no official announcement had been made by midday.
The same press reports claimed that the current chiefs of staff commander remained.
