Supreme Court rejects ex-finance minister’s appeal

The Supreme Court on Wednesday rejected an appeal by former finance minister Yiannos Papantoniou and his wife Stavroula Kourakou and upheld a guilty verdict against them on charges they submitted inaccurate source of income declarations in 2008.
Their appeal came after a three-member court panel sentenced the couple to two-year suspended prison terms.
