Varoufakis claims Schaeuble decided to oust Samaras
Yanis Varoufakis has claimed that German Finance Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble had decided to overthrow the conservative government of Antonis Samaras in June 2014.
Speaking at a presentation of his book, Varoufakis, who was finance minister of Greece from January to July 2015, said that “the third memorandum was being planned since 2013-2014” and that Schaeuble told him he decided to get rid of Samaras in June 2014.
