Armed robbers target currency exchange employees in central Athens
An armed robbery took place outside a currency exchange located on Socratous street in central Athens on Monday, authorities said.
The incident occurred when two unidentified assailants approached two employees carrying a bag containing cash outside the currency exchange and fired warning shorts before snatching the bag and fleeing on a motorcycle.
A police investigation was under way on Monday.
