Mayor Kaminis to turn on Christmas lights in Athens
The city of Athens is preparing for the Christmas holidays, with mayor Giorgos Kaminis scheduled to turn on the Christmas lights on Syntagma Square at 7pm on Friday.
The municipal Big Band, along with singer Gianna Vasiliou and the art supervision of Sami Amiri will help spread the festive atmosphere across the city.
Earlier in the day, from about 6pm, the Philharmonic Orchestra of the City of Athens will be performing, starting from Kapnikarea and headed for Syntagma.
