More than 20 firefighters on Tuesday morning were trying to contain a large blaze at a textile factory in Renti, near central Athens.

The factory is located on the corner of Kifissou Avenue and Petrou Ralli, both busy thoroughfares, prompting police to close the roads to traffic.

The area is packed with warehouses, officer and manufacturing units, and firefighters are trying to extinguish the blaze before it spreads.
