Greece-Turkey’s relations a European issue, says President Pavlopoulos
Anyone who considers that the international law is the law of the strong is wrong, Greek President Prokopis Pavlopoulos said on Wednesday (30/11/2016) during the oath ceremony of Foreign Ministry’s new attaches.
“There is no Turkish republic in northern Cyprus, there is only invasion and occupation,” Pavlopoulos stressed.
“We neither demand, nor do we deliver. We defend Europe, its prestige and its sovereignty,” Pavlopoulos said adding that the relations between Greece and Turkey is a European issue. “The European Union should understand that when we defend our national issues, we also defend Europe’s issues,” said Pavlopoulos.
