OECD also forecasts Greek GDP economic rebound in 2017-18
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) on Monday mostly echoed European creditors, the IMF and the Greek government in announcing that the recession-battered Greek economy returned to growth in the second half of 2016.
The OECD’s Economic Outlook Report also forecast that the Greek economy will return to annualized growth in 2017 and 2018 as memorandum-mandated structural reforms start paying off “dividends”.
Turning to more pressing developments, the OECD said the pending conclusion of the second review of the Greek program (third bailout) with institutional creditors will boost business and consumer confidence.
