Four arrested in violent robbery gang bust
A gang that since last October had been behind a series of violent armed robberies at shops and homes across Attica was broken up Wednesday by police, who arrested four of its members – aged 33, 34, 36 and 38.
The four suspects were nabbed after an armed robbery at the home of an 82-year-old woman in Keratsini and an exchange of gunfire with the police.
According to reports, the suspects had stolen a safe from the woman, whom they physically assaulted.
An investigation has so far connected the suspects to 13 robberies since October.
