Katrougalos: Pensioners will see raises from growth
The Minister of Labor Giorgos Katrougalos argued that pensioners not experience any cuts of their main pensions and underlined that there will be pension raises from growth.
In his interview for the Kokkiko radio station, the Minister stressed that the ongoing talks on labor matters are not related to the 15 prior actions necessary for the 2.8-billion-euro tranche.
Mr. Katrougalos repeated that only supplementary pensions may be slashed, provided the total sum of main and supplementary pensions is over 1,300 euros. This, he explained, is because of the major difference between contributions and benefits in certain pension funds.
