Schools set to open Monday
Pupils at junior and high schools across Greece are expected to start the new academic year Monday as public schools open, with the Education Ministry issuing new regulations for the enrollment of refugee and migrant children staying at state reception facilities.
Following the beginning of term, school teachers were scheduled to carry out a 24-hour strike on Thursday in protest at a range of issues, including staff shortages and planned labor reforms.
