Government spokeswoman Olga Gerovassili rejects scenarios of early elections in an interview with Efimerida ton Syntakton on Friday.

Gerovassili said that the truth is that main opposition New Democracy (ND) wants the authority but they’ll have to wait.

On the debt relief she noted that the issue is already on track and a package of short, mid and long term measures has been agreed and at the same time the correlations in EU are getting better.

Asked if the government worries over the increase of refugees arrivals on the Greek islands she said “The government is closely watching them for the first minute. Regarding the agreement between EU and Turkey on the migration, it continues to be implemented normally. The Greek state complies with those agreed and is ready to deal with the unexpected, however, a change is not visible as time passes and the situation in Turkey returns to normal.
