Counter-terrorism police arrest Sakkas and Seisidis in Lakonia

A major counter-terrorism police operation took place early on Friday morning in the area of Lakonia, with ERT reporting that two individuals having been arrested.

According to the reports, the police have arrested Kostas Sakkas and Marios Seisidis. Sakkas is accused of being a member of the Conspiracy of Fire Cells group and had been on the run since February 2014, when he broke his bail. Seisidis is accused of being part of group of bank robbers and had been wanted for the past nine years.

The police is expected to make announcements later on.
