Police identify body that washed up on Vouligmeni beach

The Police managed to identify the body of a man that recently washed up on the Limanakia beach in Vouliagmeni last week.

According to police sources, the victim was a 50-year-old Greek national, who appears to have been beaten to death. The culprits then set the body on fire in an effort to hide any traces. Blood stains and ashes were found in a dirt road where the body was found.

Due to the wounds suffered, identification of the body was difficult. After posting pictures of the victim’s tattoos though, a relative stepped forward and managed to confirm the identity
