Police arrest 53-year-old man over a double homicide from 1997
A 53-year-old man from Abkhazia has been arrested as the main suspect in a double homicide that took place on the 28th of January 1997 in Menidi.
The police reported that two expatriates of Russian origin – a 54-year-old man and his 33-year-old son-in-law – were murdered back in 1997.
According to reports the 53-year-old suspect was arrested as he appears to have left a palmprint. The motive behind the double homicide has not yet been determined.
