Football player Alan Pulido set free
Sources close to the police reported that Pulido had been receiving threats
Mexican football player of Olympiacos football club Alan Pulido, who was abducted the early hours of Sunday morning near his hometown of Ciudad Victoria, was set free on Monday morning.
Local media reports the authorities conducted a rescue operation and managed to set the football player free.
One of the kidnappers was injured, while Pulido was reportedly slightly injured and transferred to the hospital.
The 25-year-old player was kidnapped in the early hours of Sunday morning while driving at Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas region, in Mexico after leaving a party along with his girlfriend. According to reports, six masked men took Pulido by force while leaving his girlfriend unharmed.
The family of the football player informed the police about his disappearance after kidnappers’ phone call.
