ELSTAT: GDP drops 1.4% on annual basis in first trimester of 2016
The Greek statistics authority ELSTAT has published its latest provisional figures regarding the country’s gross domestic product in the first quarter of 2016.
According to ELSTAT’s seasonally adjust figures, in volume terms, the GDP decreased by 0.5% compared to the 4th quarter of 2015, against the 0.4% decrease that was calculated for first quarter the flash estimates. In comparison with the first quarter of 2015, the GDP dropped by 1.4% against the 1.3% decrease of that was calculated for the flash estimate of the first quarter.
