Athens Pride Festival scheduled for 11 June at Klafthmonos Square
The 2016 Athens Pride Festival has been scheduled for Saturday 11 June at Klafthmonos Square in the city center. Any groups, organizations or collectives that wish to participate in this year’s pride festival and parade must submit the relevant forms by Monday.
The mission of Athens Pride is to elevate the visibility of LGBT persons in Greece, and in so doing advance their rights and demands. Athens Pride also raises youth awareness and support through its volunteer program and provides a free public platform for all LGBTQI community organizations to put forth their aims, activities, and specific demands.
