Coast Guard locates boat with 65 refugees east of Sitia
A boat carrying 65 refugees was located by the Coast Guard east of Sitia, Crete early on Friday morning, after its captain issued a distress call.
It is believed that the boat had set sail from Turkey. Reports suggest that there are 17 children among the passengers, who have been transported to Sitia for identification and registration.
