Danish man arrested for spying on Chios island

A 66-year old Danish national was arrested on charges of espionage against Greece, Tuesday night. The man was apprehended on the island of Chios as he was about to board the Blue Star 1 ferry for the port of Piraeus. The man had been spotted taking photos of operations of the Greek navy, the coast guard and Frontex. The official charges laid against him by the Greek authorities involved photographing coast guard officers at Chios, while the statement released says his camera was confiscated and officials found images depicting activities of the Greek coast guard, the Greek navy and Frontex.
