Kontonis: The Greek Cup final will not take place on 15 May
The Deputy Minister of Sport Stavros Kontonis has clarified that the Greek Football Cup final between Olympiacos and AEK will not be taking place on the 15th of May, as previously reported.
In an interview for daily sports newspaper SportDay, Mr. Kontonis argued that the Hellenic Football Federation’s decision to rearrange the game for the 15th of May conflicts with his earlier decision on Friday.
It remains uncertain when the final will take place, given that matches for the domestic competitions (Cup and Super League play offs) must conclude by the 30th of May, so that international players can begin training and preparation for the Euro in France this summer.
