Institutions announce ‘important progress’ in talks with Greece
The European Commission, European Central Bank, European Stability Fund and International Monetary Fund have issued a joint statement on the negotiations with Greek authorities.
In their statement the institutions quartet speak of ‘important progress’ being achieved towards the conclusion of the bailout review. They also underlined that talks and work will continue. The statement in full is as follows:
The institutions and the Greek authorities have made important progress on a policy package that could pave the way for discussions on debt sustainability and the conclusion of the first review of the third Greek program. All institutions will continue to work from headquarters with the authorities and member states on the final elements of an overall policy package.
