Four arrested for illegal street racing
Four people were arrested at the weekend for participating in illegal races on a major avenue in the Elliniko area of southern Athens.
The four men, aged between 19 and 29, were detained as part of a wider sweep early Saturday morning by police who registered 147 traffic violations.
According to authorities, it was the latest in a string of police operations to combat the recent spate of drag racing in the area.
