Greece and Cyprus are stability factors in the region
Greek Deputy Foreign Minister Ioannis Amanatidis has said that Greece and Cyprus are factors of stability in the region, recalling at the same time the tripartite cooperation among Greece, Cyprus and Israel, and the tripartite cooperation among Israel, Cyprus and Egypt.
Amanatides, who was received on Thursday by Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades, said he had a cordial discussion with the president, who briefed him on the latest developments in the Cyprus question.
Cyprus has been divided since 1974, when Turkish troops invaded and occupied 37% of its territory. UN-led peace talks are underway to reunite the country under a federal roof.
