Unknown individuals tag houses of metro ticket inspectors
Police are investigating after unknown individuals tagged the houses of at least three Athens metro ticket inspectors, according to media reports.
“Snitch ticket inspector lives here. Get out of the neighborhood,” said a message sprayed on the entrance of an apartment building in the Zografou neighborhood of Athens, where a female ticket inspector lives, reports said.
The incident took place last on April 16, reports said, adding that two more similar incidents, also involving female ticket inspectors, were reported earlier in the month.
Last month, a list of 125 ticket inspectors was published on an anti-establishment website, just days after vandals attacked a number of Athens metro stations.
The list was accompanied by a message encouraging anyone who recognizes an inspector to attack them.
