Gov’t lost 100 migrants who were supposed to be sent back to Turkey
The readmission operation of refugees and migrants from Greek islands to Turkey has begun with Greece having already sent back 202 people who had not applied for asylum.
However, as strange as this might sound, the government lost about 100 immigrants who were supposed to return to Turkey from Chios on Tuesday and Wednesday.
According to a journalist of politischios.gr, the scheduled readmissions were canceled, since the people who would return to Turkey “disappeared”.
Police are conducting an investigation and searching the island.
