Assailants firebomb police station in residential Athens neighborhood
A group of around 20 assailants threw three Molotov cocktails late on Thursday night at a police station in Pangrati, a busy residential neighborhood in central Athens.
No one was injured in the attack, though the homemade firebombs did cause some damage to the exterior of the police precinct’s building.
Five suspects have been remanded in custody, as police cordoned off the area.
