Half the Greek population owe 86bln Euros to state!
According to the Public Revenue Services, data shows that 3.6 million Greek citizens owe money of up to 3,000 Euros to the state tax services. The report, made public Friday reveals the huge extent of the negative impact increasingly hyper taxation has had on the average Greek citizen, as a result of the implementation of measures stemming from the country’s obligations with its creditors. According to the data, published Tuesday by newspaper ‘Eletheros Typos’, over half the adult population of Greece, i.e 4.3 million Greek tax payers have accumulated outstanding debts worth 86bln Euros. This staggering figure does not include outstanding debt to custom’s services!
