Hirings seen outpacing job losses in February
Salaried employment in the private sector rose in February according to data collected by the Greek Labor Ministry’s Ergani database system.
According to the figures, hirings outnumbered dismissals or departures by 14,437.
Meanwhile, 228,848 people were hired over the January-February period, while 224,365 people were fired or left their jobs, data showed.
The Ergani database records the flow of employment across Greece in terms of region, sector, company size and contract type, among other categories, in real time.
