First television licenses to be auctioned off in March
The Minister of Infrastructure, Transport and Networks Christos Spirtzis has announced that the tender for television licenses will being in March.
In an interview for the Parapolitika radio station, Mr. Spirtzis explained that the final details on the tender are being addressed and that the whole process will take two months.
Mr. Spirtzis further explained that four licenses for nationwide broadcasting will be up for grabs, followed by tenders for licenses for thematic broadcasting licenses and regional broadcasting.
When asked about the possibility of the existing legislation conflicting with the Constitution, the Minister appeared confident that the State Ministry will not find any problems.
