Healthcare coverage for the uninsured to be extended for a year
The Deputy Minister of Labor Tasos Petropoulos announced that healthcare cover for the uninsured with a household income of up to 12,000 euros will be extended for a year. According to the Deputy Minister, care will be taken for additional provisions regarding the uninsured that are currently enforced.
Additionally, the Deputy Minister commented that the reforms in the pension system aim to address the systemic problems and to improve the collection of contributions. Mr. Petropoulos estimated undeclared and uninsured employed are worth 6 billion euros on an annual basis.
