Institutions’ technical teams start to arrive in Athens

The technical teams of the institutions have started to gradually arrive in Athens while the date of the arrival of the heads of the institutions remains unknown.

The technical teams will start collecting the additional data and details that the institutions request particularly those regarding the government’s proposal for the social security system and the fiscal gap not only for 2016 but also for the period 2016-2018.

Apart from the social security issue and the tax on farmers, negotiations for the first review of the Greek economy is expect also to focus on taxes on rental revenues, an additional cut, based on August’s agreement, defence expenses, changes in the public sector, measures on non-performing loans, privatisations, deregulation of the energy market and the implementation of the measures included in OECD ‘toolkit’.
