Severe weather as travelers return back home
Travelers returning from their Christmas holiday will face rain and snow, according to Hellenic National Meteorological Service.
Forecasters warn citizens of heavy snowfall mainly in Northern Greece and heavy rainfalls across Greece.
Strong winds are also expected which are likely to cause problems to coastal shipping services since wind velocity is expected to reach 9 Beaufort in the Aegean Sea.
On Sunday snowfall is expected in northern Greece, while heavy rainfalls are expected in the North Ionian Sea and Epirus, and then in Western Greece and the Peloponnese which will gradually move to the rest of Greece.
