Two jaguars shot dead at Athens-area zoo after escaping from enclosure
The management of a private zoo outside Athens over the weekend confirmed that two jaguars were shot dead last week at the Attiko zoological park after reportedly escaping from their enclosure and during opening hours.
An announcement by the company said the two animals were “neutralized”, as the use of tranquillizer guns is not foreseen, and no member of the public or staff was even in danger during the incident.
