Man Arrested on Suspicion of Setting 9 Wildfires in Greece
Greek authorities on Sunday announced the arrest of a 32-year-old man on suspicion of setting nine wildfires in the Dirfys-Messapia municipality in Evia, the last of which started on Saturday and was put out in the early morning hours.
The man was arrested for repeated counts of intentional arson using proceedings for suspects “caught in the act” by staff in the crimes of arson directorate and Halkida Fire Brigade investigative department.
