Chinese national arrested in Greece on int’l warrat for online investment scam
A 41-year-old Chinese national was arrested on Tuesday in Athens on an international arrest warrant issued by PRC authorities for allegedly running an online platform bilking money from unsuspecting investors by promsing high rates of return.
Chinese authorities charged that the unnamed suspect has defrauded investors of roughly 30 billion yuan.
The suspect was led before an appellate level prosecutor in Athens.
