New petition for release of Greek servicemen denied by Turkish court
The new objection filed by the lawyers of the two Greek soldiers detained in Turkey has been denied by the local court on Thursday and they will remain in custody.
According to Anadolu agency, the objection filed against the court decision to keep the two soldiers in jail in Adrianople was rejected after the judges estimated that there is evidence that the two men have committed an offense for which they may be sentenced up to five years.
The judges also claimed that the two detained servicemen might flee if they are released until trial.
