We are proud of our cooperation that is based on our common values - fair play and team spirit – and the significant actions we jointly undertake to support Greek society. Moreover, I would like to point out that OPAP has a leading role in basketball and this is a strategic choice of ours. For the new season, we wish good luck to AEK’s management, its coaches and players, both in Greece and Europe”.
On his part, the OPAP Brand, Marketing Communication and Sponsorship Director, Panos Bollas, pointed out: “The cooperation between OPAP and AEK through SCRATCH – which is one of our most popular and successful games – in addition to its symbolic and historical value, also has a great commercial success for us. The Commercial Director of AEK BC, Leonidas Papavasilakis, characteristically stated: ‘’We would like to thank OPAP for the quality and level of our cooperation. In terms of AEK’s values, partnerships such as this constitute a responsibility, not in a strict and formal framework, but in terms of building of values that we jointly profess and transfer to society. This is not only evident in sponsorship and the participation of our team in Corporate Responsibility or other OPAP actions, but also in OPAP’s support and participation of the cultural project that AEK’s present management will leave behind as a legacy for sports and cinema;and this is the co-production of the film for the 50th anniversary since the Cup Winning Cup triumph in 1968 “.
Team captain, Dusan Sakota, thanked OPAP for supporting the club: ‘’Οn behalf of AEK’s players, I would like to express our satisfaction for the continuation of our cooperation with our most important sponsor, which is OPAP. In the last three years, I believe that we had all the tools available to us that helped us serve AEK in the best possible way. The most important thing that OPAP does – not only in sport – is its contribution to society. From our side as players, we can be a good example for children”.
The special event that was held at the OPAP offices was attended by the CEO of AEK BC, Charis Koutas, the entire AEK team as well as film director Mr. Tasos Boulmetis.
