U.S. Tourist Arrivals Up in 2017
The arrival of U.S. tourists is steadily on the rise in 2017, while reservations for 2018 are also positive, according to a Tourism Μinistry announcement.
Greek Tourism Minister Elena Kountoura and Greek National Tourism Organization secretary general Costas Tsegas recently met with tour operators and travel agencies representatives in New York.
Kountoura’s visit in New York is part of the ministry’s actions to promote Greece abroad. She also attended the annual charity event “Blue Dream Summer Gala” of the Dormition of the Virgin Mary Greek Orthodox Church of the Hamptons.
The rise in arrivals from the United States corresponds with a general rise in the number of foreign visitors from around the world, as data from the Greek Tourism Association (SETE) show.
