At €20 million, Beach Villa Among the Most Expensive Properties in Greece
A prominent Greek family is selling their secluded beach villa in Kounoupi, Greece, for €20 million (US$21.78 million)—making it the most expensive home on the market in the Peloponnese peninsula in Southern Greece.
The estate occupies five acres on the tip of a promontory that juts into the Saronic Gulf, and is part of a posh coastal stretch near Port Heli where celebrities like Sean Connery and dignitaries like Vladimir Putin and Dutch King Willem-Alexander reportedly have homes nearby. The popular beach refuge is on the southern edge of the politically powerful Peloponnese, an enormous peninsula west of Athens that hangs onto the Greek mainland by a thread called the Isthmus of Corinth, according to mansionglobal.
