Search is under way for mother of fetus found in garbage
Investigators said on Tuesday the human fetus discovered in a bag at a local garbage sorting facility at Girtoni in Larissa, central Greece, on Monday had been transferred there with garbage from the nearby town of Elassona, and are focusing their search for the mother there.
A coroner said on Tuesday that the fetus had been in the fifth month of gestation, and suggested it had been aborted with the help of a doctor.
