A taxi driver was found dead in his car a little after midnight on Tuesday in the suburbs of Kifisia. Police found two shot wounds to his right temple and according to the initial information he was shot with a 22 calibre pistol. Two bullets were retrieved from the crime scene, one inside the taxi and other outside. Sources say both the driver and passenger windows were intact. Police believe he was shot while the vehicle was in motion, with the taxi continuing its curse for some meters before crashing into a parked vehicle and stopping. The victim was a resident of the Nea Ionia area and had started working as a taxi driver for the past six months. The police homicide unit was at the scene to gather further evidence.
